It was very well organized, special thanks to Karthik and Rohan. They went out of their way to make sure that we were comfortable. Everyone had a great time. Small gestures like a lime juice on arrival at dock after a tiring ferry journey, or arranging to transport our bags to the ferry were nice touches. In general, we were very happy with the trip.

The Team Effectiveness Workshop is based on the nine team building blocks. 

This work shop will consist of three major components

Outdoor Games

Outdoor games that are especially designed to help the group experience the team building block. Depending on the prominent blocks that are important for the team to work together, outdoor games will be conducted for the team. Each of these games will make the team understand the importance of that block, as they experience the presence or the absence of that block in the game.

The Outdoor Environment and Adventure Activity

The workshop will be conducted in an outdoor environment. This helps break down the barriers that exist between team members and builds more personal relations.

The adventure activity will be conducted to derive home the team building blocks and to build cohesiveness and build interpersonal relationships within the teams.

The adventure activity will be designed keeping in mind the physical stamina and age of each participant. The key being that the task should be achievable by the team, but seemingly may be beyond the scope of an individual.

The adventure activity conducted will vary with the varying workshop locations and seasons.

Facilitated discussions

Any activity, which has been conducted, will be followed by a debriefing session, where with the help of the facilitator, the group will be able to relate the experience with the work place. The facilitator will also assign task teams to build processes and team norms, define process owners for these processes and help in the implementation of these processes in the team

Workshop Deliverables

• Team is able to identify with each other
• Team member make emotional deposits in each other 
• Team members build personal relations (necessary for the effective performance of any team) through unique experiences that they have shared with each other 
• Team identifies the important blocks necessary to team working 
• Team takes ownership of building these blocks 
• Team makes processes which will help in building and strengthening of these blocks 
• Process Owners are defined as those who are responsible for the implementation of these blocks with in the team 
• Team is able to formulate a common team culture and objectives 
• Team members relate to each other and are able to develop mutual trust 
• Team is motivated

Methodology

• Experience the team block through games / exercise / activities
• Understand and analyze the behavior expressed during the game 
• Discuss similar behavior in actual team and discuss why they happen 
• Facilitate process to build the block in actual team 
• Give ownership of process to key team member and monitor the same 
• Preparing action plan
